Para sport and adapted sport for kids in Oslo

3 options are listed under para sport and adapted sport for children in Oslo, across 3 districts, for ages 6 to 18. Below is the full overview with age, district and a link to sign-up.

Districts with an offering: Bjerke, Nordstrand, Vestre Aker.

Para sport is organised sport adapted for children and young people with disabilities, either in dedicated groups or integrated into ordinary teams. The offering in Oslo is smaller than the need, but it exists, and the clubs running it usually have long experience and solid expertise.

Many ordinary sports clubs also welcome children with support needs without labelling it para sport. If that applies to you, it is often worth asking the neighbourhood club directly, even if they are not listed with a dedicated offering.

Worth knowing about para sport

Get in touch before turning up, and say what your child needs. Clubs are generally willing to find solutions, but they need to know something in advance to arrange the right staffing and equipment.

Oslo's sports council and the individual federations have their own para sport advisers who know the offering across clubs. If you cannot find something suitable in the list, they are the ones worth asking next.
