Indoor play centres in Oslo
"Play centre" covers two rather different things in Oslo. One is the big action centres with trampolines, obstacle courses and multi-storey slides, where a twelve-year-old has as much fun as a four-year-old. The other is the small play rooms built for children below school age, with soft zones, role play and a café for the grown-ups. The city has 13 of them in all, and which one fits depends mostly on the child's age.

FunPlays at Sandaker (formerly Eventyrfabrikken) and Leos Lekeland at Ulsrud and Østerås are the places with the widest age span, from the one-year-old in the ball pit to the twelve-year-old on the obstacle course. FunPlays does not charge for adults. Skyland in Lørenskog is the biggest of them all, with trampolines, a laser zone and a wind tunnel, though note that it sits just outside the city boundary.
One money-saver is worth knowing: at Leos, children under two get in free on Wednesdays with an adult, if you sign up for their membership club first.
The small play rooms for ages 0-6
Lille Lab has four locations (city centre, Hasle, Torshov and Tøyen), and together with Småtroll by Grorud shopping centre, Oslo Mikrolekeri at Tullinløkka, Titt-tei at Løren and the newly opened Miniland at Lambertseter they form a genre of their own: compact rooms where the adults can see the whole space, and the play is built for the youngest. Miniland opened in August 2026 with 500 square metres divided into zones themed on the world's continents.
Two of them are self-service and must be booked ahead: at Småtroll you let yourself in with a code sent by SMS and there is a cap of fifteen families at a time, at Mikrolekeriet everything happens in their app. That keeps them calm, but it also means you cannot just drop in. Titt-tei is closed on Tuesdays.
The places where older siblings must stay home
Two places are for the very youngest only, and older siblings cannot come in: Plutteplassen at Majorstuen takes children up to 24 months, and Lille Lab at Tøyen is for ages 0-2. That is the whole point, calm rooms where a crawling baby will not get run over, but it is a dull thing to discover at the door with a three-year-old in tow. If you have children in both age groups, Lille Lab Hasle or one of the big centres is the safer pick.
