Model flying combines building, electronics and flying, and is one of few hobbies where children and older adults do exactly the same thing side by side. The club has its own flying field, and experienced members help beginners get started.

Norway's oldest archery club (from 1930), with a modern indoor hall at Skullerud and an outdoor season in Husebyskogen. The two-hour beginner course takes children, teenagers and adults together - the club has no separate children's group. The minimum age is 12 indoors and 10 outdoors, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled. A calm precision niche that trains focus and breathing.

Radio-controlled car racing at Hvervenbukta, with three tracks that between them cover the most common classes - one of the largest and best-developed facilities of its kind. The club brings together RC enthusiasts of all ages and has members from six to sixty, with car classes ranging from models the youngest can handle to high-performance machines for the experienced. Beginners are helped to get started, and the club has hosted both the Norwegian and the Nordic championships. The site is shared with Osloungdommens Motorsenter.

A municipal motor centre at Hvervenbukta for young people from across the city with an interest in engines, mainly from age 10 and up. The tracks are approved by the Norwegian Motorsport Federation and can be used by children up to 14, and members have access to a spacious do-it-yourself workshop where they can borrow tools and work on their own vehicle. One of the city's most distinctive leisure offerings. The site is shared with Oslo Modellbilklubb.

A municipal motor centre in Rommen for engine-minded young people from age 16, with an open workshop Monday to Thursday, 5-10pm. Members get access to the workshop, can borrow tools and get help from staff repairing and maintaining their own vehicle - and you are welcome even if you don't have a car yourself. There is also a clubroom with social activities. Membership requires a fee, ID and a passport photo. Note that the Hvervenbukta branch takes children from ten; Rommen is for the oldest.
