Activities for pregnant women

Yoga, exercise, pool training and birth preparation courses for you who are expecting in Oslo. Almost every place here runs dedicated pregnancy courses, and where a class is open to everyone we say so in the description.

Once your baby arrives, many of the same places continue with postpartum classes. See parental-leave activities for activities during your leave.

Pregnancy yoga, pregnancy strength training and reformer pilates for expecting mothers, at the corner of Stockholmsgata and Malmøgata. Run by OsloKvinneHelse, the studio also offers a birth preparation course for couples, so your partner can join for the final part. The same place runs postpartum groups once the baby arrives.

The weightlessness puts little strain on your skeleton, making this a good option if you have back or pelvic pain. If your pregnancy is healthy you can take part until roughly two weeks before your due date.

Water aerobics to music in a pool of around 32 degrees, right by St. Olavs plass. This is not a dedicated pregnancy course, but a regular class they themselves recommend for pregnant women and for anyone with pelvic girdle pain. New courses start in week 33 and run to the end of the year.

Start dates, prices and sign-up are handled by each provider. The gym chains run their own classes too: SATS has Strong Mama, which suits both pregnancy and the postpartum period. Do check with your midwife or doctor first if you have pelvic girdle pain or a pregnancy that needs extra care.
