Postnatal meetups, baby massage and courses in Oslo
The underrated part of parental leave is meeting other adults. The postnatal meetups are built for exactly that, often with a professional present and always with others in the same situation. The baby massage and first aid courses also send you home with something concrete. Several are free, and none require knowing anyone beforehand.

Oslo municipality's open meeting place for parents with babies and toddlers in Nordstrand. Parents stay with their children throughout the visit, with flexible drop-in attendance. The venue has a permanent kindergarten teacher and psychiatric nurse on staff, plus a public health nurse and physiotherapist with set hours. Different age groups on different days: Mondays (0-4 months), Tuesdays and Thursdays (0-12 months), Wednesdays (0-3 years). Coffee, tea and waffles available for purchase. Completely free.

Coffee and lunch can be bought at the Granitten café in the same building. The description on their website says every Friday from 10am to 1pm, while the event list shows other days, so check their calendar before you go. One of the few regular postpartum meetups in Groruddalen.
