Kids' birthday parties in Oslo
Celebrating a birthday outside the home? Here we've gathered the places in and around Oslo that actually host kids' birthday parties, from the classics of play centres and trampoline parks to tree-top climbing, karting, laser tag, bowling, mini golf, a reptile park and a farm birthday with pony riding.
And remember the venue does not have to cost anything: if the weather is on your side, a park or playground is one of the city's best party venues, completely free. Ask at your daycare too - some kindergartens are happy to host the celebration there. The cinema is another easy win: book tickets for the whole crew, or use the weekday birthday packages several Oslo cinemas offer.
Most venues offer ready-made birthday packages with a dedicated room or table, food and drinks, so you can just show up. Book well ahead, as popular weekend slots often fill up weeks in advance, especially in winter, and check age limits and prices on each venue's own page (linked from every card).
Tip: the outdoor venues (climbing parks, mini golf, the animal park) are at their best from spring to autumn, while play centres, bowling and laser tag save birthdays all year round. Every place below has been checked to confirm it actually offers birthday parties.
