Taranrød åpen barnehage

Åslandhellinga 1, 1274 Oslo

A free open kindergarten at Taranrød barnehage in Bjørndal, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm. Note that this one does not open until 3 November 2026, later than the two other new sites in the district. For children aged 0 to 6, with no application or sign-up.

The kindergarten is centrally placed in Bjørndal, close to sports facilities and public transport. Taranrød is one of three new sites the Søndre Nordstrand district opened at the same time, alongside Fjeldlund and Elverhøy, while Slime gård continues. The district describes an open kindergarten as a taste of kindergarten life: the children join in play and activities while parents see how the kindergarten works with learning, language and social development, which can make choosing a kindergarten place easier later.
