KFUK-KFUM scouts meeting at Røa church. Vestre Aker has more scout groups than most districts, from both the Norwegian Scout Association and KFUK-KFUM, so families here can actually choose between two scouting organisations. The youngest are called oppdagere and spend their time on play and discovery trips locally; from year 3 they become stifinnere, and from year 5 vandrere, where cooperation and eventually leadership training take up more room.
