A full symphony orchestra for children and youth at Nordstrand school, with separate sections for strings and wind - most other school orchestras in the city are strings only. The orchestra describes itself as a social and inclusive community orchestra with no entrance requirements, and no prior experience is needed, only the wish to play. Beginners start with individual or small-group tuition on their instrument before joining orchestra rehearsals. From year 8 you move into the youth orchestra, where you can stay until you finish upper secondary school.
