KFUK-KFUM scouts meeting at Bekkelaget parish centre. Nordstrand has both KFUK-KFUM scouts and a Norwegian Scout Association group at Ekeberg, making it among the best-covered districts for scouting in the city. The youngest are called oppdagere and spend their time on play and discovery trips locally; from year 3 they become stifinnere, and from year 5 vandrere, where cooperation and eventually leadership training take up more room.
