KFUK-KFUM scouts meeting at Breidablikk in Østensjø, with the number 1 in the name from Bryn. Østmarka lies just east of the meeting place, so the group has terrain within walking distance all year - including winter, when much other outdoor activity for children grinds to a halt. From year 1 you are an oppdager, from year 3 a stifinner and from year 5 a vandrer, right through to year 10. The vandrere take on gradually more responsibility, and at lower-secondary level leadership training is central.
