Vinderen children's choir was set up as a school choir in 1977 by the couple Else-Marit and Joar Rørmark, who led it until the late 1990s. In 2008 the choir was restarted with a new profile and the name Vinderenkoret. A school choir closing and reappearing thirty years later is unusual, and says something about how strong the choral tradition is in this part of the city. A member of Ung i Kor Oslo.
