The neighbourhood club at Mortensrud has its own cricket programme for children and youth, in a district where cricket has deep roots in many communities. All sport in the club is free for everyone under 19 - the only cost is a 100-kroner annual membership fee - and Mortensrud sports park is being expanded with dedicated cricket surfaces. Cricket is one of the world's biggest sports, and here children can try it without price being a barrier.
