A free, open meeting place for families run by the Red Cross, at Urtegata 50 in Grønland. Open to all families on Mondays and Thursdays, 4:30-7:30pm (with separate days for single parents), Saturdays noon-3pm and a shared dinner on the first Sunday of the month, no registration needed for the meeting place itself. In summer there's a varied program including pottery, science shows, animal visits, dance, theatre and first-aid courses for kids, plus free outings. Note that the outings require the family to be registered at the family centre: registered families get an SMS when sign-up opens, and trips are released week by week. Run in partnership with the MARTE network centre for single parents.
