Public transport with children and prams in Oslo
Most of this is simpler than people think, and one of the rules is generous enough to be worth planning your weekend around.
The weekend rule: four children free on one ticket
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, one adult can bring up to four children under 18 free of charge, as long as the adult holds an ordinary adult, senior or student ticket. It isn't just for toddlers: a ten-year-old and two thirteen-year-olds count too. A family outing on a Sunday costs the price of one ticket.

Prams on trams and the metro
Brake on, and hold on
Ruter asks you to make sure the pram stands securely with the brake on, and to hold on to it if needed. You are responsible for any damage the pram causes. A pram that rolls during hard braking is the actual reason the rule exists.
