Public transport with children and prams in Oslo
Children under 6 always travel free. The rule that matters most for families with older children applies at weekends, and it can pay to plan the outing around it.
The weekend rule: four children free on one ticket
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, one adult can bring up to four children under 18 free of charge, as long as the adult holds an ordinary adult, senior or student ticket. It isn't just for toddlers: a ten-year-old and two thirteen-year-olds count too. If one adult travels with the children, a Sunday outing costs the price of one ticket.
