The Botanical Garden at Tøyen has free entry year-round, and is a lovely, calm oasis for a stroll and play among trees and flowers - with four entrances (Sars' gate, Jens Bjelkes gate and Monrads gate). Open until 9pm in summer and 5pm in winter. The Natural History Museum and the Palm House/Victoria House within the garden do charge admission, however.
