Holmenkollen
Art installation and memorial about the resistance and the occupation of 1940 to 1945, on the hill above Frognerseteren and fifty metres from the metro station. Children can ask at the ticket desk for an activity map and a puzzle, and get a certificate afterwards. Most of it is outdoors.
Opening hours were 11 to 5 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 11 to 8 on Thursdays, read on 31.10.2026. Prices were then 180 kroner for an adult, 100 kroner for children aged 6 to 17 and free for children under 6, and a family ticket for two adults and up to three children cost 500 kroner. If you come by car, the car park is at Øvresetertjern, 200 to 300 metres from the entrance. The road all the way in is a dead end, so buses cannot reach it. There are dedicated spaces by the entrance for holders of a disabled parking permit, and people with reduced mobility without one can be driven right up. The main house with the cafe and shop is open every day, and the site takes school classes at all levels.
