Losæter
Kongshavnveien, 0194 Oslo
A green space and cultural institution in Bjørvika, started in 2011 as an art project and today run by the City of Oslo together with volunteers. Urban farming happens here in an emergency garden, a market garden, a balcony garden and pallet beds, and the bakehouse at its centre is both an artwork and a gathering point. The park and outdoor area are always open to everyone, and during the growing season from May to September the site is staffed. Every Wednesday from May to September there is «Spør og grav»: come whenever suits between 12 and 6pm, no registration, no prior knowledge needed and free to join. The city states that children and young people are welcome, and takes kindergarten visits and group tours on Thursdays. Bus 85 from Jernbanetorget stops at Sørenga, and it is about a fifteen-minute walk from Grønland or the Opera House.
