A military-history museum at Akershus Fortress, with tanks, cannons and uniforms. The museum charges admission: 160 kroner for adults, 80 for children aged 6 to 17 and 400 for a family ticket with two adults and up to four children.

Children under 6 and Oslo Pass holders get in free. Open daily 10am to 4pm from September to April, and until 5pm from May to August. Children can climb into a real tank, follow the development from Viking swords to fighter jets, and try a shooter simulator. For the youngest there's a discovery trail with an activity booklet. A combined Akershus Fortress ticket costs 320 kroner for adults, 160 for children and 800 for a family of two adults and up to four children. It covers the Armed Forces Museum, Norway's Resistance Museum and Akershus Castle.
