Oslo has 647 daycares, and there are usually more within reach than you would think. Enter your home address and the work addresses, and we work out the travel time to each one, for each of you. That makes it easier to judge which ones actually fit your week, not just the ones you have already heard of. If you live in two households, you can add both homes.

Frequently asked questions
How does the daycare finder work?
You enter your home address (and optionally a work address), and the tool calculates real travel time to nearby daycares - bike and car via route planning, public transit via route planning on up-to-date timetables. Daycares are then ranked by shortest travel time.
Can both parents use the tool at the same time?
Yes. Add a second work address, and the tool shows travel time for both parents individually, plus a combined total. This also works if you live at different addresses - just add an extra home address for the other parent. You can each choose your own transport mode, and the ranking takes both choices into account.
Does it account for working from home?
Yes. You can enter how many days a week each parent works from home, and we'll calculate weekly travel time based on the split between office days and home-office days.
How accurate are the travel times?
Travel times are calculated with real route planning (bike and car via OpenRouteService, transit via route planning on up-to-date timetables), so they give a realistic picture - though actual travel time can vary with traffic, departures and weather.
Is the daycare finder free to use?
Yes, the tool is completely free and doesn't require any login.
Does the daycare finder work outside Oslo?
