Who do you reach?

Parents in Oslo, weighted towards parents on parental leave. They are out in the city on weekday mornings, plan the week digitally, and fill more than two hundred days of leave with activities, café visits and courses. More than 9,000 children are born in Oslo every year, so the audience renews itself continuously.

The whole site exists in English, and that is not a decorative detail: in August the English pages accounted for a good fifth of all visibility in Google. That is both English speakers living here and visitors planning their days in Oslo. The share of visits from abroad peaks during the summer holidays, when nearly one in ten clicks came from outside Norway.

The listings cannot be bought

Facts, assessments and the order of the listings are not for sale. The order is shuffled with a weekly seed, the same for every visitor, so nobody sits permanently at the top and everyone reaches it over the course of a year. Paid placements appear in clearly marked modules.

That is precisely why visibility here is worth something: parents trust what they find.

The traffic comes from Google, and that is the whole point

Almost a hundred thousand times over the past four weeks, OsloFamilie has appeared in a Google search, and more than two thousand times someone clicked through. The traffic is spread across more than a thousand different searches, from «indoor play centre oslo» to «baby swimming lovisenberg», so it does not rest on one lucky page or one viral post.

The difference between this and a social media ad is intent. A parent who searches has already decided to do something, and is looking for where.

Search traffic also does not disappear when a campaign stops. Our average position in Google has moved from 13 to 11 over four weeks, and the pages climb week by week.
