Vannspeilet i Kværnerbyen (Lodalsparken)

A water mirror shaped like a river in Lodalsparken in Kværnerbyen, where children can wade and hop from stone to stone while the grown-ups watch from the seating areas nearby. In winter the mirror becomes a skating rink.

The water mirror is at most 20 cm deep and was built to withstand frost, which is why it works as a skating rink. Lodalsparken is the park in the eastern part of Kværnerbyen, completed in 2009 and named after Lodalen.
